Two things run in the blood of our Nation, One is the love of food and the other is the love for cricket. We Pakistanis can do anything for the love of these two things. To keep the energies high and to take the love of cricket to the next level, first ever Weekend Cricket Tournament was organized by JAZZ Experience Management on 14th & 15th May 2017. It was a a tape ball tournament among IBEX Global, Mind-Bridge & JAZZ Pakistan held at KHAYBAN-E-AMIN Ground, Lahore. The event kicked off with high spirits and great energy. The stadium was roaring with the enthusiasm of audience for their teams. The flood lights, lit the stadium and created a wonderful ambiance for the night matches. There were four participatory teams – IBEX Incredible , JAZZ Avengers, JAZZ Kings, Mind Bridge SuperStars. Each of four teams, played three matches in order to make it to the finals. IBEX Incredibles & Mind Bridge SuperStars qualified for the finals with the NRR of 17.44 & 14.33 respectively. The finale was not less than clah of the titans, both teams were highly energetic & focused towards scoring a place at the victory stand. Mind Bridge SuperStars won the toss and elected to bat first. In the five overs match , they scored 47 runs. The amazing bowling of Mudasir Saeed & Sulomon Joseph left no stone unturned to make batting impossible for Mind Bridge Superstars. Then came the turn of IBEX Incredibles to show their wonderful performance. Ali Adnan & Imran Younas did opening and in no time they chased the target, scoring 18 runs each. Imran Younas’s sixes won the hearts of many among the crowd. This victory marked an important achievement in the history of IBEX as we won this match after fierce competition from one of our fellow competitors in the industry. The entire event was covered with photography by Zain Jaffery- QA Specialist. To maintain the transparency and fair play; services of neutral and professional umpires and scorer were rendered from Pakistan Cricket Board Academy (PCBA). Live BBQ was served to the players and the audience as Dinner. Apart from this, there was exuberance and happiness, noticeable all around after each Six, Boundary or a Wicket! What's more, that vitality was enhanced by the live commentary combined with the sound of DJ. ; Nauman Fakhar – Head of Call Centre Jazz gets the kudos for lifting up vitality and eagerness in the crowd and particularly the players on field. His on spot commentary and the entertaining jokes kept the air delightful and sprightly. At the end of the tournament, an award ceremony was arranged and all the audience and participants were part of it. The Winning Trophy was received by Captain of IBEX SuperStars- Ali Adnan from Head of Call Centre Jazz , Nauman Fakhar . Mr. Imran Younas won the “Man of the Tournament” as well as the “The Best Batsman” award. Mr. Mudassir Saeeed won the “Best Bowler” award. Some notable members of IBEX family, such as Hashim Khan – Director Operations, Waqas Mehr- Manager Operations, Faisal Nihal – Sr. Manager Operations, Sharjeel Mehr – Manager Operations, Syed Ahmed Javaid – AM Operations, Ammar Liaq – AM Operations , Sikandar Khan AM-HR & Ahmed Mujtaba HRBL were there to support IBEX SuperStars in their victory and achievement.
